Interests
This section includes actions that should be performed in order to create a business plan for
freight, ensuring public and private industry collaboration. Actions discussed include hiring
qualified public agency decision making staff that understands the needs to facilitate with the
private sector; Improving communication and education between the public and private sector by
including freight advisory groups into the conversation; and to have public-private teams create
project milestones. Appendix D provides case studies for best practices in Public-Private
partnerships.
